How it works
- Consultation: Psychotherapists, primary care physicans and physicians of other specialities can call to communicate directly with a child and adolescent or adult psychiatrist to discuss a patient’s case.
- Guidance: The psychiatrist will offer recommendations on next steps, which may include advice on screening, assessment, and diagnosis.
- Treatment planning: Consultations can help with creating a treatment plan and finding resources or referrals.
- Medication management: Advice on medication management for pediatric behavioral health concerns is also available.
- Support: We also provides educational resources, training, and information for families and schools.
What to know
- Not direct care: The consultation is informal and does not include a face-to-face evaluation or chart review of the patient.
- No cost: Because it’s a consultation, not clinical care, there is no charge to the patient or family.
- How to connect: Please fill out the request form and specify your preferred way to communicate.
- Operating hours: The service is available Monday through Friday.
